One Person

The Taj Mahal, the vision of one person, was put together piece by piece over the course of 12 years and is still standing to this day as an inspiration to others, over 300 years later.

It’s easy to get lost in despair and hopelessness in the current state of our world.

Wars rage on.

Innocent people are gunned down every month, week and day with no end in sight.

Rights once guaranteed are taken away… just … like … that.

We sit in our homes from the comfort of our couches, watching the news unfold day after day after day and think, “There’s nothing I can do, I am only one person.”

However, it was only one person whom refused to sit at the back of the bus… Rosa Parks.

Only one person who led the salt march… Mahatma Gandhi.

Only one person who was the first to set foot on the moon… Neil Armstrong.

Only one person whose poems inspired millions… Maya Angelou.
